This track appeared on Royal Straight Magic and later on NEO JAPANESE HEROINE under the translated title “You, Rain, and Secrets.” At the time of said compilation album’s release, miko described this song as “a quiet, fiery love ballad” in a blog post in English, and said it was about a man who doesn’t know what he has until it’s gone. She also linked to an old blog post of hers, from November of 2016, in which she talks about this song much more in-depth. What I found to be most interesting from that post is how this song came about. miko writes that the song came to her while she was riding a bicycle on her way to the studio:

When I’m on the move, I often get lost in my head thinking about making such and such type of song, but this time, the chord progression, refrain, and even the melody all came to me pretty concretely. So I immediately stopped my bike on the side of the road and recorded a voice memo! What came out then was pretty much what this song is now. You always have to be listening for the voice of the music composition god!

She goes on to talk about not taking relationships for granted. Not just relationships with other people, but also with animals, nature, and everything else. She ends by saying that the word “Secret,” which she repeats in the refrain, refers to something said only once near the end of the song. Well, what she writes isn’t so cryptic, but I don’t want to spoil it for those who don’t know what this song is saying. Suffice it to say that you’ll know by a change in the punctuation I use.

Actually, I changed the order of clauses and lines within verses a lot in this song to make the translation sound natural. Nothing as drastic as moving a line from one verse to a totally different verse, but definitely some major order changes within some verses.
